INTO Awards 2026
Celebrating excellence across our global INTO family
As part of INTO Bavaria: Places with Purpose, we are delighted to launch the INTO Excellence Awards 2026, recognising the remarkable work of our members around the world.
This programme celebrates the innovation, dedication and impact shown by organisations and individuals across our global network as they protect, conserve and champion our shared heritage.
Five award categories
This year’s Awards highlight five key areas central to our mission and to the themes of this year’s conference:
Community connection and engagement
To honour an INTO member organisation that has demonstrated exceptional commitment to community‑centred heritage practice, reflecting the conference’s emphasis on heritage serving communities and fostering connection.
Climate resilience and sustainability
To recognise outstanding climate adaptation, environmental stewardship, or nature recovery initiatives aligned with INTO’s emphasis on heritage’s role in adapting to climate change.
Heritage protection and conservation excellence
To celebrate exceptional achievements in conserving built, natural, or intangible heritage, aligned with INTO’s global mission to ‘celebrate our shared global heritage.’
International collaboration
To highlight exemplary cross‑border cooperation, reflecting INTO’s commitment to global collaboration.
Emerging leaders in heritage
To celebrate early‑career professionals or youth-led initiatives advancing heritage practice, echoing INTO’s focus on building heritage skills and supporting future leaders.
Nominate a fellow INTO member - or yourself! - using this form
We invite all INTO member organisations – and the individuals and communities within them – to submit nominations showcasing outstanding achievements that reflect the spirit of community, connection and care for heritage.
Winners will be announced and celebrated at INTO Bavaria during the conference in Freising and Munich on 1–4 November 2026.
