TAP INTO 2026: A landmark year for global knowledge exchange

ProgrammesTAP INTO March 23, 2026

INTO is delighted to announce our continued support for cross-border collaborations in 2026, with funding for eleven international knowledge exchanges designed to strengthen leadership, deepen expertise and build long-lasting international connections within the INTO network.

A focus on tropical gardens

Through 2026, TAP INTO will support three exchanges within our Tropical Gardens Community of Practice, enabling member trusts to explore common approaches to the care and conservation of gardens surrounding historic properties in Sri Lanka, India, Malaysia, Thailand, Zimbabwe and Saint Helena.

We expect that these exchanges will enable recipient trusts to develop:

  • best practices to support and conserve local tropical biodiversity – garden management, nature communication, and opportunities for ecological restoration;
  • collaborative tools for conserving tropical gardens across sectors including architects, ecologists, and researchers; and
  • innovations for visitor engagement – how can communication, interpretation and technology help tropical gardens remain relevant?

Be inspired by the INTO network

Other interventions funded reflect the rich diversity of the INTO network, from how to implement a successful ‘people’s plan for nature‘ to a hands on review of community engagement between sites with shared military history in Poland and UK.

TAP INTO grants support our member organisations to be inspired by their peers. Being part of INTO means that you don’t need to re-invent the wheel, as we support you to learn from the places that have already grappled with the same challenges that you face today.
