Open call: INTO Youth Committee

Be part of shaping the future of INTO!

🌍 Youth Committee Applications Now Closed 🌱

Thank you to everyone who expressed interest in joining the first INTO Youth Committee! We’ve been inspired by the passion and commitment shown by young people around the world who care deeply about heritage, climate action and community-led conservation.

This initiative is part of INTO’s growing commitment to empowering the next generation of heritage leaders and efforts towards elevating more intersectional perspectives. As we look ahead to key events like COP30 in Brazil and explore new ways to rejuvenate our network and programming, we’re excited to be forming a small, dynamic team of representatives aged 18–35 to guide and champion this work.

What happens next?

We’re now moving into the selection phase:

  • 16 September – Applications will be reviewed by INTO Trustees
  • Shortly after – Decisions will be communicated to all applicants
  • 10 October at 1pm GMT – Kick-off meeting for selected committee members

We hope those not selected this time will stay involved. There will be many opportunities to contribute, connect and collaborate through our wider youth network.

What will the Youth Committee do?

  • Help shape INTO’s youth engagement strategy
  • Contribute to planning youth-focused events and initiatives, including a potential global/digital convening
  • Represent regional perspectives, build connections and foster a global community of youth heritage leaders across the INTO network
  • Support INTO’s presence at international events like COP30
