Financial support for INTO Bavaria 2026
INTO offers different types of financial support for INTO member trusts intending to come to INTO Bavaria.
NEW FOR 2026! Green travel grants
Delegates that travel by public transport to Freising can apply for a grant to claim back up to 50% of their travel costs, up to a maximum value of £250.
Green travel grants are considered separately to other bursaries. Read more on our dedicated Green travel grants page.

INTO Bavaria ticket bursary
INTO ticket bursaries offer a free place at the conference. Delegates are responsible for their own hotel and travel costs.
We expect to award approximately 10 ticket bursaries.
INTO Bavaria travel and ticket bursary
INTO travel and ticket bursaries offer a free place at the conference and cover full or partial travel costs. Delegates are responsible for their own hotel costs.
We expect to award approximately 20 travel and admission bursaries.
Decisions
Decisions for both types of bursary will be made after posted deadlines. The next deadline for submission is 31 March 2026.
Eligibility
Bursary applicants must work or volunteer at an INTO member in good standing. For a full list of INTO members, please see our network.
Prioritisation
We typically receive more requests for bursaries than we can accommodate. As a result, we will prioritise according to the following criteria:
- Can you demonstrate a high level of need? Requests for bursaries from member organisations with limited financial resources are more likely to be awarded. Requests from well-resourced organisations in wealthier countries are unlikely to be successful.
- Will this benefit the delegate? We ask all delegates to explain how this experience will be an opportunity for their professional development.
- Does the bid offer value for money? We aim to make our limited resources stretch as far as possible. You are less likely to be successful if there are multiple bids from your organisation or your travel costs are exceptionally high.
- Do you work closely with INTO? Delegates working at full member organisations and / or organisations that engage with many INTO programmes are more likely to be successful.
Grant Timeline
To apply for round 1 of bursaries, please submit an application by 31 March 2026. We will respond during April.
There is a single application form for both bursary types.
Please note that applications for bursaries open with ticket purchases on 17 February 2026.

Frequently asked questions
Bursary recipients will receive a code to secure a ticket at no cost. Please await arrival of your code before booking.
Travel costs will be reimbursed on receipt of an invoice from the grantee. Invoices must be supported by evidence of the booking, from your travel provider.
We are unlikely to be able to offer any individual more than £1000 in total value for their bursary, including ticket costs.
We may offer you only part of the cost of your travel. This is more likely if travel costs to Freising from your place of residence are unusually high.
Only economy class tickets can be reimbursed. If you must travel in a different class due to health considerations, please mention this in your application and we will contact you to discuss it if your bursary is awarded.
INTO does not typically offer support with accommodation costs, delegates are expected to meet this cost themselves. If you would like support with finding low cost accommodation, please reach out to us at info@into.org.
Bursaries are only for INTO members in good standing. There are many benefits to joining INTO, learn more here.
INTO will not typically award both bursary types together.
